Cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, let a website remember things between visits. We keep them to a minimum.

This website

The website stores two small things that it needs to work. They are never used to track you.

iris-theme-preference

Local storage. Remembers whether you chose the light, dark or system theme. Kept until you clear it.

iris-analytics-consent

Local storage. Remembers whether you allowed analytics, so we don’t ask on every page. Kept until you clear it.

Analytics, only if you allow them

If you choose “Allow analytics”, we load Mixpanel to understand how people use these pages: which pages are visited, what is clicked, and anonymous session replays that show how a page was used, with anything you type hidden. Mixpanel stores identifiers in your browser’s local storage under names beginning with mp_, and the data is processed on Mixpanel’s servers in the European Union.

Nothing is loaded from Mixpanel until you say yes. If you decline, nothing is collected.

To change your mind, choose Cookie settings in the footer of any page. If you withdraw consent, we stop analytics and remove what Mixpanel stored in your browser.

The Iris app

The app sets only the cookies it needs to work:

Session

Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.

Security token

Protects forms from being submitted by other websites on your behalf.

Preferences

Remembers display choices, such as your theme.

Because these are strictly necessary, the law doesn’t require your consent for them, but you can still block them in your browser settings. Iris won’t work properly if you do.
